Phil Mountford
Musical Director
Phil is a composer, music producer and Musical Director of Cinematic Ensemble.
A love of film music from a young age followed by many years of composing, producing and performing, has naturally resulted in the creation of Cinematic Ensemble.
Phil’s own soundtracks continue to been heard worldwide in films like Vendetta, Journey To Le Mans, Breakdown and The Chocolate Club, for which he has picked up multiple awards for his film scores.
He is also a recipient of several awards from Arts Council England for his work both as a composer, producer and performer of classical music.

Josh Mountford
Creative Director / Logistics
Josh Mountford is a cellist, multi-instrumentalist and co-founder of Cinematic Ensemble. He holds a Master’s degree in Performance from the Royal Academy of Music and is an established performer with extensive experience across the UK and Europe.
His career spans large-scale orchestral performance, chamber music and contemporary projects, with appearances in many of Europe’s leading concert halls including the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and the Konzerthaus Berlin.
Alongside his work as a performer, Josh oversees the management and logistical coordination of Cinematic Ensemble, contributing to both the artistic direction and practical delivery of its film-focused productions.
